In this article, you’ll learn how to easily add image sequences in with Final Cut Pro X. So without further delay let’s being!
Set the Playback setting in Preferences pane. Hit CMD + , key or go to Final Cut Pro > Preferences from the top bar.
Set the still image duration to 0.02 seconds. Set transitions to 1.00 seconds
Create a new project by hitting CMD+N. Set the desired project settings.
Now its time to import the image sequence. Go to File>Import>Media or CMD+I
Browse to the location of the image sequence and select all files. It’s best to create a new event to store all the images which you can do from the top right hand corner of the import window. Hit Import All.
Select all the files in the project window by hitting CMD+A key.
Then drag and drop the files into the timeline. By default, the image sequence will not look right when played back.
We need to change the clip duration for the individual sequence files. Right-Click on all the frames and select Change Duration option or CTRL+D
The timecode section will change. Just hit 1 key to set all frame to 1 second duration.
And that’s how you import image sequences into Final Cut Pro X for editing. Repeat these steps for any additional sequences that you wish to import.
